Attendance Policy

Attendance is mandatory. Students must be on time and punctual for class starts. In order to be making satisfactory progress, students must attend 100% of total course hours. Any student with excessive absences will be terminated from their class (for re-scheduling, an additional non-refundable registration fee of $200.00 will be required in cases of excessive absences and/or non-fulfillment of course requirement within the time frame of enrollment ). Requests for re-enrollment will be handled on a case-by-case basis.

Conduct Policy

Training Direct expects each student to act in a responsible, professional manner. All students are expected to show courtesy and respect for each other, our staff and school equipment. The use of illegal drugs/alcoholic beverages or the carrying of weapons on school grounds is strictly prohibited, and are grounds for immediate dismissal. Students who fail to abide by the above policy as well as the code of conduct issued in the Nurse’s Aide handbook will be terminated from the program.

The school reserves the right to postpone a student’s training if he/she develops a communicable disease or condition that affects or limits his/her ability to effectively participate in all aspects of training. This is a necessary precaution to safeguard patients against physical conditions, which could endanger their health. It is also a requirement of the nursing home in which you will be training and of the Department of Public Health. Special arrangements will need to be made if a student who has already begun training subsequently develops such a disease or condition. If you are recommended for dismissal for any reason, you will be required to make an appointment for counseling and your schedule will be canceled.

Graduation Requirements

You will graduate upon successfully completing all course requirements and paying in full all tuition and fees for this program. As with most schools, we will send your certificate to you as soon as you fulfill all of these obligations.

When all requirements related to your program of study are completed and your tuition balance is paid in full, your certificate and official transcript will be issued to you.

Your state licensing examination date can be arranged once all graduation requirements have been fulfilled. Training Direct will assist Nurse Aide graduates in arranging their date for the state licensing examination, however, responsibility for securing a test date resides with the graduate.
